About Heal to Grow

A Calm Place to Come Back to Yourself
Heal to Grow Counselling is a Bradford based practice for sensitive teens and young adults who feel like they have been holding too much for too long. Our work is trauma informed, human first, and built on the belief that you are not too much for needing real support.
You landed here for a reason
Maybe someone recommended us. Maybe you have been quietly searching for months. Maybe tonight was just a hard night and you finally opened the browser. However you got here, we are so glad you did. You do not need to have the right words or know exactly where to start. This is a soft place to land.

Is this you?
- You know you have "stuff" from childhood, but you do not know what to actually do with that awareness.
- You are the strong one, the peacekeeper, the therapist friend, and you are quietly exhausted.
- You keep ending up in the same kind of relationship, and part of you wonders if you are the problem.
- Your chest feels tight, your mind will not quiet, and you cannot remember the last time you fully relaxed.
- You feel misunderstood, especially by the people who are supposed to know you best.

Our Approach
Human First, Always
At Heal to Grow, therapy does not look like a stiff office or a checklist. It looks like a real conversation with someone who has done their own work, who knows what it feels like to carry more than you should have to, and who will never make you feel like a case file. We combine gentle, trauma informed therapy with practical, nervous system aware tools, so you can move from just surviving to actually feeling like yourself again.

How We Can Help
Trauma Informed Care
We understand that behaviours, patterns, and reactions are almost always your nervous system trying to protect you. Our approach is rooted in evidence based, trauma informed practice that meets you where you are without ever pathologizing what you have lived through.
A Fellow Traveller
You will be met by someone who genuinely gets it, someone who walks alongside you and holds space for the parts of your story that have not felt safe to share before. Together we move at a pace your nervous system can actually hold, so you never have to figure out the next step alone.
Real, Practical Change
We build the tools, language, and self trust you need to show up differently in your relationships, your family, your work, and most importantly, with yourself. The real change comes when you can carry that understanding into how you show up in your everyday life, one small, doable step at a time.
FAQ

What kind of clients do you work with?
We work primarily with sensitive teens (12 to 17) and young adults (18 to 35) in Bradford, Simcoe County, and across Ontario. Most of our clients are navigating anxiety, people pleasing, childhood family patterns, self worth, or the aftermath of emotionally difficult relationships.
What is a Registered Psychotherapist?
A Registered Psychotherapist (RP) is a regulated mental health professional in Ontario who has completed a Master's level education, supervised clinical training, and is registered with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). This means we are held to strict standards of ethics, confidentiality, and ongoing training.
How long does therapy usually take?
Every person is different. Some clients come in for a specific concern and feel resourced within a few months. Others prefer longer term support to work through deeper patterns. We check in regularly about how the work is landing and adjust together, there is no set timeline.
Do you offer sliding scale or reduced fee sessions?
We do not currently offer sliding scale sessions, but we are always happy to discuss options and provide referrals to community based services if cost is a barrier. Please reach out and we will do our best to point you in the right direction.
What if I have never done therapy before?
That is more common than you think. You do not need to prepare anything, know what to say, or have your feelings sorted out first. The first session is simply about getting to know you. We will guide the conversation and go at your pace.
